Judges - Evaluating "Resonable Efforts" You might recognize the Youth Law Center as the firm behind
Utah's David C. litigation which resulted in changes to Utah's child welfare
system. It will be interesting to some to learn that the Youth Law Center
shares defense counsels argument that when the "agency does not follow the
state's or its own regulations/procedures, it very often has not made reasonable
efforts." Parents counsel are encouraged to continue efforts to insist the Division meet the community's expectation that it comply with its procedures to actively assist families. [go back] |
