In The News KENTUCKY. A Kentucky "blue ribbon panel" will meet in
Frankfort, KY to finalize recommendations to the state's child welfare system,
including improving and standardizing training for social workers, judges and
lawyers handling cases of child abuse and neglect, ensuring poor parents have
lawyers appointed to represent them at the first court appearance, and improving
education and information for parents involved in child welfare proceedings in
their rights and responsibilities.
